today while driving down the highway the car in front of me kicked a huge rock up and it nailed my winshield...

a gold ball size part of my winshiled is shattered now, is it possible to repair this or do i have to get a whole new winsield??

 

nope, you have to replace it. Luckily, your insurance company can easily take care of this. I had the same thing happen to me (posted pics and the event a few months ago), the insurance company replaced my windshield ($850 bill), my deductible was $100.

Edit: it doesn't go against you in terms of insurance since it's a non-driver error related incident.

You lucked out NiteQwill, my insurance company didn't have specific coverage for windshields. Since my deductible was $500 and the windshield replacement cost was ~$250, I just paid out of pocket.

 

too bad you're not in MA because you get one free windshield per year!
