"Severely Cracked" motor mounts says dealer
I recently purchased the cl-s with 92k miles on it. I paid a really good price otherwise i wouldn't have. Anyway, the tranny is original with no oil jet so i decided to take it in while it was still under warranty and get it checked out. The dealer said the 2nd gear was worn=get new tranny. They call me today and say that in tearing the car apart that the front and rt side motor mounts are "severely cracked" I told them my thoughts based on what i've read here that the tranny might have caused the failure from harsh downshifts because the car has seen no accidents, etc. The weren't going for that theory. Do you think its worth it to press the issue with Acura corporate or fork over the $375??

Many people have had motor mounts replaced for free (goodwill). If they are already pulling out the transmission it isn't a lot of work to replace a motor mount. (Although, the two tasks are not related.)
BTW, how much did you pay for your CL-S? Mine has 92k also.

I called Acura Corporate and they said they were going to set up a case file for me and someone would contact me in 24-48hrs
