Setting the Record straight

A friend of mine (a reputable engineer) was at my house last night and became enraged over comments by ssman and others to the affect that we do an injustice to our customers for the work we do. And he acted out a bit, but other than the "less than politically correct" words chosen, I do agree with the scope of his response...sent from my PC in my user ID.

If ssman works for AHM, then he should know that AHM does not warrant parts used in Non-OEM applications as originally designed and released by Honda, Ltd. I apologize to ssman if any insult was taken at a professional level but bad information is bad information.

If ssman is an engineer, then he won't mind installing an MDX shortblock into an -S type and competing in some Dyno runs with our other "worthless, overpriced" upgrades. If people who have known me can attest, I never said it was cheap, and never claimed a single horsepower more than we actually delivered.

One last thing, ssman, if you work for AHM, shame on you for discouraging Honda/Acura owners from using dealers for their work...Remember, we are expensive because AHM mandates a high skill level and a 90% minimum training completion rate. And techs earning upwards of $25/Hr doesn't help either....does Jim Roach and Brian Morris know this is the internal feelings of their employees??? I will ask Tom Elliot when I see him at SEMA. Maybe we could launch a new campaign to increase the owner defection rate from dealer service, reduce the traing to , say 10%, and raid the Jiffy Lube stores for "master" techs to figure out the easy stuff that goes wrong with the cars.

Now, maybe you know my perspective, but again, I apologize for the harsh language of my counterpart.

BTW- its Syncivic not Cyncivic

Hey Mr. Doug. I think your only solution to your "bashing" Is to let some of the members on here see your product. (Memebers that are not already known for whatever they do I.e. SSMAN, RAMDAS, SYNCIVIC) I think you should allow someone else (like ME) to vertify this and back you up on here.

I don't like the bashing either, BUT, BUT, you have to remember that the coin flips BOTH WAYS. You should have expected this from a bunch of whining girls on this forum. And you should also get some other vertification from typical readers and post whors in your area (once again, ME) Like I have been saying, And you have been ignorning me, I work only 20 mins away from Rick Case. It's just a straight shot north on 441 for me.

So how about it?

Jayru, he's already said that he's waiting on a patent. Until that patent is approved he won't be sharing his information and besides he's chosen Radams as his spokesman.

I still feel this speculation etc is just unprofessional...if he has a product, he should not have announced it until he was ready to show it off...

So what is he going to do? If he doesn't get the patent he won't produce the product? If he does get the patent then he is covered and can collect damages from anyone who infringed on it. In other words:
Fish or cut bait. IMHO

You've brought this upon yourself. Your one of those people who can't deal with pressure very well huh? Just because you have a lot of inovations for the CLS doesn't mean your GOD. BTW how comes I don't see any other Acura Dealers/Workers come in here and represent their company as well as you do?

As quickly as you bash, some want to defend. I believe, that overall, we have exercised great restraint. Sorry you disagree. Have I responded in kind to any of the name calling?

Good day.

And as you wish, I'll count you out for the product.

What product?

Someone please explain to me why SSMAN got a nasty letter with explcit language in it...couldn't you just talk to him in a better manner? I mean you bashed him for something he said way earlier that wasn't even connected with your thread. What do you mean when you say you have apologized for the poor language of others...shouldn't you be apologizing for the poor language of yours?

BTW I understand that you were excited about the product and posted it early...I would have done the same

Syncivic,

To a large extent you brought this on yourself by not containing your obvious enthusiasm until you were able to provide people with more details. Your original post reminded me of a lot of the junk e-mail I receive: "Would you like to make an extra $10K a month working out of your home for two hours a week?". Ones first reaction is not "gee, sure", it’s "OK, what type of snake oil is this". The timing of your announcement was also unfortunate due to the number of people burned recently in the Xephyr debacle.

I don't know you well enough to have an opinion about what you're claiming but without substantiation "trust me" doesn't really cut it. This is especially true on the Internet where anonymity breeds healthy doses of skepticism.

My friendly advice is to stop defending yourself and let this whole thing die down for now and post detailed information about what you're developing when it's available. If it’s legit, people will forget all about this current exchange in short order.

My guess is that the email SSMAN got was in reply to his posts about the 3.5L upgrade two or three weeks ago. Still its pretty unprofessional and the damage is done. Apoligizing will only help so much...

Exactly and I don't think SSMAN meant to hurt syncivic with it. He was just mearly sharing info with other enthusiasts...whats wrong with that? Syncivic let it get the best of him.

Yeah, I just reread the post. The only part I could find offensive is that he commented on it being really expensive and it can be done for much less. But thats in the spirit of the board, we share info on where to get the cheapest headers, CAI etc and whether or not a mod is worth it. I think Syncivic took the attack a little to personally...

Please read posts more carefully before you start making accusations.

Thank you!
