Service Dept Question
Service Dept Question
When you guys bring your cars in for service do you always get a loaner? It's it required that you schedule ahead for one? Do you only get one if it's a major repair?
In my case, I never get one unless I schedule 2 weeks ahead of time and even then sometime they tell me there are none. I'm thinking I have a cheap service center or they think I'm not worthy since I'm usually only in there for routine maintenance.

i think it really depends from dealer to dealer and how much they care about customer satisfaction
but i do know that u SHOULD DEFINETLY get one if ur car is gonna stay overnight, esp if its under warranty repair. The bastards at david mcdavid in austin dont give me one even if its a scheduled service maintenance taking 3-4 hrs

I’ve never had an unscheduled repair, but when I do scheduled services I always book a car like 2-weeks in advance.
Everything from a simple oil change to scheduled maintenance intervals gets me a free loaner car.
Unfortunately they use Ford Taurus’s, but I only work a few miles from the dealership so it’s no big deal.

Depends on the dealer and the deal you agree apon when purchasing the car.

I get a loaner, but the last time it was a Dodge neon
I had to pay $300 extra for the privilege and at the time I thought "hey, $300 bucks, and I get a Acura loaner, cool", but at least I get a loaner.
My dealership also owns a car rental place, so they work out some sort of voucher deal. Of course I was asked if I wanted to upgrade for additional $$$.

I guess it could be worst. After driving a 4cyl neon all day, it really made me appreciate my CLS alot more

My dealer has given me 2x '02 RSXs for the first time (1st loaner's battery was killed and dead in my school's parking lot!) and the last time I got a '03 TL loaner, pretty nice. I goto Chevy Chase Acura in Maryland...I have a feeling that since I got the car there, it influenced the loaner priority.
