Actually Comptech made a body-kit for the NSX... they make lip-spoilers etc... so I won't be surprised if they offer the CL-S body kit in the near future... I'll have to find out.

I had 345+whp and ran a 110+ mph - MPH being a representation of horsepower... and E.T. being a representation of traction and torque/horsepower.

The kit is gorgeous... wheels are gorgeous... it has the brakes, the looks... but I don't agree with the price!

All due respect they are running 19 inch HEAVY ASS wheels.

and why are you defending those horrid numbers? it's obvious it was poorly driven. maybe it had a full tank of gas, whatever. bottom line, those numbers suck.

the guy with the s/c'd M coupe ran a 14.1 in his wives bone stock 6 speed.

whoa.....not defending just saying the setup probably wasn't optimal...like you said full tank of gas etc., Moreover, it's a one of a kind car!!!! Think they are going to be beat the shit out of it at the track?? Please..... Get sick of people hating on shit. There is only 1 car like that and worth the 56k or whatever. Please....

Think about it. The 14.2 is a E.T. that Comptech is publicizing. It's obviously their BEST consistent E.T. They MIGHT have run one 13.9 or one 14.4... but probably ran five 14.2 runs. That car isn't going to run quicker... unless its setup differently.

and they're car & drivers numbers.

i would hope comptech wouldn't accept or publicize a 14.2 on a car that is known to run mid 14's stock.

Trapping at 105mph, that should be in the low 13's. I think that was a typo. Either that, or they can't launch worth shit.

fuck no the wheels wont add a full second to your 1/4 times. mantis runs 14.5 on heavy ass 19's in a auto w/ i/h.

so a blown cl-s6 w/ all the other goodies it has should be good for a low-mid 13 IF(<------thats the keyword here) properly launched(atleast a 2.1 60')

the car looks absolutely amazing...but for 54k...i'm sorry its defintiely not fast enough....the people at car and driver can not drive. I should call them up and yell at them for being so incompetent. 14.2 with a supercharged Cl-S....riiiight....

I already did... with MANY references and pictures.. so we'll see what Car & Driver has to say. I also volunteered my driving abilities

I didn't make references to anybody except for my own times as I don't know peoples' real names and obviously saying something like "FastJoeBlowCL over on Acura-CL runs a blah blah blah"... doesn't carry too much weight!

I would take these numbers with a grain of salt.

Case in point, I will pay any person who lives in the northeast or northern Midwest $100 if they run within 0.5 of their best time (at a home track) down at Atlanta Dragway. If you run at a track nearly at sea level and in 30 degree temps will not be comparable to running at 1200' and 80 degree temps.

Point being, you do not know the whole situation the tests were conducted under. From what I have read about other tuner vehicle, they don't produce stellar numbers either. They could possibly be launching softly since it is a one-off vehicle unlike they might do with a production vehicle.

It is far too easy to jump on a publication about the number supplied; this is not an uncommon practice.

Did they really use Comptech springs to get a 1.5" drop? I thought Comptechs only dropped the car an inch.

Love the body kit, the wheels are ridiculous.

The times were hampered by wheel hop and tire spin, so I guess they aren't used to handling front-wheel drive cars with more than 280 HP?

The supercharger really seems to be a pointless waste of money after that article.

CT springs drop 1.5 front, .75 rear.

and i haven't heard any supercharger owners complaining the mod was pointless. they all seem pretty thrilled.

No complaints here. Also, they are basing everything on 0-60. Try punching it at 70 and watch 120 come up way quicker. At least that's what my seat of the pants tells me. And i love the sound
