Security Code for Stereo???
If you read my other thread about the roadlamps, you'll know that some dumbass kid stole my owner's manual. Anyways, I opened my hood one day and found that the negative connetion on my battery had popped off!!! I don't know how this happened, but it really sucks! I can't look it up, and the nearest Acura dealer is pretty far away. My question is, and it is probably a realy stupid one, is there a "universal" number or something that I can punch in that will override the system? I keep trying to guess the code, but it is no use. It is a 5-digit number right? Or is it a 4-digt number, and you have to punch a "enter-like" button. Help me out guys! I thought about just calling the dealer and giving them my VIN number, but they'll probably think that I am some dumbass kid who just stole a CL stereo. Or can I do that?

That's not good. If the info is so easy to obtain, then stolen stereos have value...

actually, they really didn't ask too much....just name & address in order to look up the car....I was a little concerned about the lack of security measures
