second stage intake opneing late?
Welp, after driving around for awhile now... I'm starting to wonder if my second stage is opening late.
The actuator seems to be working fine. Tested it anyway...
But if I'm on the throttle, sometimes the second stage doesn't pop open until 5100-5200 RPMS.
And I mean pop, it just surges all at once.
lol, should I put the crack pipe down? Mabye I need to take a ride in someone elses car.

Hey Siggy,
Why don't we meet up somewhere Friday night and I will let you take a ride in my car to see if it doesn't the same thing? I know we talk about doing it last Friday, but we both forgot. Let me know what you thing.

The second stage opens at 3800. You can't really feel it, but if you listen good enough, you can heat it.
VTECH is @ 4800. You can hear and feel it. If not, then you have major issues.

I'll wait and see after I ride mattrush78's car.
hmmm....
It definetly doesn't act like it always has. Matter of fact it's been this was since the tranny was replaced.

As a note:
My actuator seems "late" -- it makes the final "plop" at around 4200 rpm (or so). (Always has done so...)
And... The car is faaaast...
You might want to look at the operation of the actuator as it OPENS and CLOSES and check it against another car (it seems your setup to do just this). It may be a sign of bigger problems..
Look and check (an eyeball in the car [at the tach.] and another on the actuator is the best method to make sure you know what is going on [that's what I do with a buddy or my wife]). If you do the "check", please get someone to help you out to make sure (IMO, I wouldn't count on the "drive-around-using-ear-test")
