Seat not remembering
Seat not remembering
Does anyone else have this problem:
My seat is programmed on user 1, and works most of the time (goes to the correct position after tilting it forward to put something in the back). However, sometimes, when I get in the car, tilt the seat forward to put something in the back, and then push it back, it doesn't go to the right position. Instead, it slides back to the right position, then slides forward almost all of the way, leaving my knees smashed into the steering column!
Any ideas on what the problem is?

Did you wait until the seat went back to its memorized position then started the car or you started the car while it was moving? If you started the car while it was moving then it's normal. Just hit memory 1 then it will back.
Nope, it'll do it before I even sit down sometimes. So when I do try to sit, I don't really fit! Then I hit button 1 and it goes back to where it's supposed to. It's just weird, after tilting the seat back in place, the seat slides back to where it should be, THEN does an about face, and slides about 2 or 3 inches forward.
check to see if there is anything under the seat that blocks it. Mine only does that when I start the car while it's moving. One time my passenger seat did it, but I had something in the back that blocked it from going all the way back.
