Seat not automatically moving forward

I own a 2001 Acura CL S type - Automatic and when I pick up the latch on the seat on the passenger side it no longer automatically moves forward.

The seat moves if you use the controls on the side of the seat.

Also I know the car has to be in park for it to work, so that is not the problem.

I searched this forum and I am surprised I only found like too small posts regarding this subject and they were not helpful.

this is a common occurance with these seats... try it a few times i bet it works.

when u lift the handle up do it quickly and somewhat aggressively...

if u lift the handle up slowly it doesn't recognize what ur doing.

my guess is it works

I assume the door is open on whichever side you are trying to move the seat, correct?

Mine never moved forward when the doors were closed. Only when they were open.
