i have been using it for a while... ever since i read about it on AZ. I use a full can in the engine a on in a full tank of gas... the one thing that you will notice first is improved throttle response... i use it on ever car i own... greatest creation in the world in my opinion.

I used it on my 94 Explorer. It's really a good engine cleaning product. It's best if used on an old car, or a car with alot of miles. Cleans the entire inside engine, cat, 02 sensor(safe), & exhaust.
It's basically a concentration form of Gumout. It can be used in the engine, oil, & gas.

Like through the PCV? Do you just pour it into something and let the PCV suck it up in there?

Yes, not too much at a time or your engine will stall out. Has to be done easy. I use a small plastic cup & poor it into the PVC hose a little at a time. Then turn the engine off, let sit 10-20 minutes & restart. It will poor out white smoke for a few minutes(normal) & your done.

Interesting. I'm gessing the smoke is the engine working it all out? I think I want to try it but I am still skeptical. Will it work for engines with a carb? Maybe I will try it on my old '76 Blazer first if it will.

1) put about 1/3 of the can in the engien through the pcv valve
2) put about 1/3 in the gas tank
3) put the last 1/3 in the oil
4) let it sit for about 30 minutes
5) start car and drive it aroudn for a little and go WOT a few times
6) get an oil change within 100 miles

It's right behind the intake manifold at the top. It as a long tube following the length of the manifold then connects to the PCV.

You'll see it better if you pull off the engine cover. It's in the back valve cover. Picture 1 is positioned as if you were looking at the motor from the driver's side fender. The PVC valve is part (A)

OK... so strangely enough I installed my Thermo block manifold to plenum spacer today and all the hoses that connect to that side of the intake would only or mostly feed the back three cylinders intake runners. Some sea foam may make it to the front three cylinders intake runners but only if the IMRC were open, and still, I doubt it. That hose connected to the PCV valve dumps into the intake on the other side of the fitting that connects that hose to the intake manifold. I removed and completely disassembled my upper intake manifold for extreme cleaning today so i am sure of this. still I have not seen specific idiot proof instructions for which line to use to get it into all of the cylinders evenly. If you have completely disassembled your intake manifold you should know what I am talking about. How do I get it into all six cylinders evenly? If you tell me a specific hose to use, where is it and which end of it gets dissconected to vacuum the stuff out of a cup?

On my Explorer it's the same. To get around it, I used a vaccum line that is attached under the TB. On the Explorer that gets it into the intake at the TB. So all cylinders get it. I haven't done the CL yet, but since it a similar layout it should work the same if you can find one of the lines at the TB end.

for clarification, i have a 6mt CLS. I just went by my mechanics place and he verified my suspicion about seafaom only making it to the back three cylinder intake runners which actually feed the three front cylinders when using the pcv valve to vaccume it into the intake. to get it into all the cylinders he said I shold put what I want to use into a spray bottle and remove my comptech intake and just spray it into the throttle body for a minute and then let it sit for 20 min then do it again until you have used 1/3 the bottle of seafaom. He said I could also use the vacuum line on the TB but my mechanic said to just spray it in there with a spray bottle. I will do it and get back.

I need to get some tomorrow.

BTW-Is it recommended to get an oil change if you put a 1/3 in the oil? I just got an oil change 100 miles ago.

Absolutely necessary! It thins out the oil and cleans a lot of deposits out. Do not continue to run your car with this in the oil. It's made to clean things, not as an "oil additive". I use it on my CL and my sports car and it is magic. SeaFoam rocks!

acctually accroding to the can i got it is an oil additive and makes no mention of changeing the oil just to add one pint per 10 quarts...while i was inquiring a mechanic behind me inline said its a great additive as well as a flush...with that in mind i intwend to put it in for a few days and do a change with mobile 1

Just seafoamed my car on Saturday, however I used the hose in illustration B closest to the oil cap. Waited, started car, and drove around for a few miles. Only a small cloud of smoke came through the exhaust. Changed oil and put about 50 miles on her that night. Car sat all day Sunday. Today, I started my car and the check engine light came on. Car idles at about 750-500 rpms. Any thoughts on what it could be? I do realize that I did not use the VAC line. (A friend said it was, but after searching through a few posts here, I realized he was wrong.) Car has 76k and is a 97 3.0cL. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
