Satellite radio installation in '03 CL with Navi
Does anyone have pictures of a Sirius satellite radio installed in their '03 CL with Navi? I am having troubles deciding which Sirius radio I should buy and where to put it. Ideas from XM users are welcome as well.
Thanks!
Thanks!

and the audiovox sircmb5(http://www.crutchfield.com/S-dtqt7kN...0&I=220SIRCMB5)
...i like the clarion one alot better but can't really think of a good place to put it and the audiovox could just be mounted in the sunglass holder but i dont know...

I've got a 01 Cl with navi, same difference. I purchased the Sirius Starmate and mounted it in my eyeglass holder. Fits perfectly. I can even close it so you can't even tell its there. I mounted the antenna directly in front of the sunroof above the windsheild. Hope that helps.

ER you musta been reading my mind. I was thinking about the same thing this weekend. The only place I saw to mount it was to the left of the steering wheel but I was not able to really see it from there (other than the celestial glow).
DANJOCL, are all of your wires concealed in that set up? And how do you get the antenae on the roof though the windshield stripping?

Most of the wires are conceled. I wired the power wire to my fuse panel on the passenger side. The wire is hidden behind the A pillar and the ceiling. The only wire that not conceiled is the antenna from the system thru the sunroof and outside. I didn't wire it through the windshield, would of taken a while. I guess i could take out the eyglassholder plastic and stuff and try to conceal the wire, but i'm to lazy. The only complaint I have with that setup is that the FM transmitor is the staic that pops up every now and then. Other than that, that set up works. I'll try to take some pics this weekend and post them.

I have my XM unit in the sunglass tray, no wires showing at all and the antenna is on the inside of the car above the sunglass tray. If the tray is closed it looks like there is nothing installed. Not sure if Sirius has antennas that are small enough to fit in that area or not.

Thank you everybody for the replies. Are you able to see the radio display with sunglass compartment install? Another words, can I see the name of the song that's playing, the cannel name, etc. Also, how hard is it to switch channels if the unit is hidden inside the sunglass tray?

I have my sunglass tray open at all times. I have the wire crushed slightly to allow for the sunglass tray to come down to it's fully open position which faces slightly downward. I have a remote, so changing the channel isn't a problem.
This is the only unit I see that is small enough to fit in the sunglass tray. It comes with a remote so there should be no worries about changing the channel either.
