I stopped to look at the 9-3 today. This car looks really hot in person. Interior is nice, outside looks great, the stock rims are pretty nice too...very aggressive looking car. Since it's Sunday they weren't open so I couldn't drive it; has anyone here driven it? I'm concerned about the engine being too weak on the bottom end; it's a 2 liter 4 cyl turbo with makes only about 210 hp /225 tq according to Saab.

One thing that did really bug me about this car was the 'GM' logo printed on the brake calipers. I guess Saab's been very much assimilated into the GM collective... I've had very bad experiences with GM quality so that may kill this for me.

 

I drove it....No balz. It's not as if the car sux, but all the same for the money, I'll take something with more power. It seems to have pretty bad turbo-lag. My wife loved it (what does that tell ya!!!)

Let Jerry Sienfeld buy the Saabs...

I love the look, and since it is turbo, I am sure it would not cost too much to make it faster.

 

saabs are actually surprisingly modifiable and offer a good bit of performance parts from the factory.



anyway... the new 9-3 is BEAUTIFUL on the outside... but still ugly inside.

but i really dig the exterior... its got a BMW look but looks better then a BMW. hehe

 

i love the look too, its really aggressive and much nicer then the other 9-3. i wonder if they will they will add anohter engine, cause i just cant dip to 220 from 260.

I like the way the new 9-3 looks. It has nice wheels and a factoy body kit. I didn't see one with a nav, but i'm sure it would look alot better with one. As for performance it will be quick but by no means FAST. Since it is a turbocharged car it is upgradeable. and its priced very reasonably.
