S600 vs. 760Li....
S600 is just nuts........... 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and 12.5 @ 115 in the 1/4 mile, this for MB's biggest sedan. With the Maybach chip in place, this car will do 11's. There are videos of it out on the net......... but check out this article at C&D.com

starting from page 5, do you guys see some weird shit?!?!?!?
wtf........ I'm drunk off my azz, wondering if its just the alcohol, or am I seeing what I'm seeing. weird.

I would take the 760 over the merc anyday. I just dont have a love for mercedes, cept the SL but that has no manual soooo back to the bimmer or other manufacturer.

In my opinion 745i is the best deal for the 7-series sedan. It is not worth the extra $47k for that extra speed. However, S600 is worth the extra money mainly due to the higher prestige in the upper luxury sedan level for Mercedes-Benz .

The 760 makes the 745 look like garbage, and Im one of the only ones that likes the new 7's.
Course as I had said I dont like mercedes, and I think bimmer has just as much prestige especially the V12s.
But this is all my opinion of course

The 760s interior has leather everywhere, 2 types of wood inlay ( has like a scroll design in it ), and lots of rear seat features.
There was a 745i Sport in the showroom that was just as nice. Obviously it didn't have as much leather, but the interior didn't look that much different. The short wheelbase looks much better, and the Sport has the monochromatic exterior and shadowline trim. Also goes without saying which one is more entertaining to drive.
Sticker on the 760Li was $120k or so, sticker on the 745i Sport was $74k. The 760 was being sold at MSRP, there are incentives on the 745i's.
Would be a no brainer for me.

for me, you know, I think I may just have to think about it. Because first of all, if I were in the market for one of these, I would probably already have a 10 or 11 second supercar in the garage. So I wouldn't need to have a smokin fast sedan as well. Also I think the MB looks kinda boring compared to the 760. The 760 with some 20"s looks much better. And its no slouch either, hitting 60 in 5.1 seconds and 1/4 in mid 13's.

i tooled with iDrive a while back when it was brand new. after like 5 or 10 minutes just going thru menus and what not, it wasnt so hard. i dunno maybe us youngens are just more generally computer literate than the people that can afford these things.
for the record the 745 is a bad ass car. it looks hella mean to me. they should definitley have a M7. but price everything to go against the S. an M7 at 150k wouldnt make sense when you could get the S55 for 30k less unless it blew the S55 off the planet.

mercedez jumped up to near 500 hp out of nowhere! makes you wonder how they will top off the next set of v12's.
my choice of course would be the MB. I still have not grown to like the new 7. i guess i am the only one!?

twin-turbo V10
600 hp
670 ft-lb torque
0-60 mph: 4.1 sec
1/4 mile: 12.1 @ 121
that would be sweet!!!!!! thing is, MB is bringing out the S65, I'm pretty sure (at least the CL65 is coming out, so I would imagine S65, and SL65 along-so) - so I don't think this is fictitious!!

How's that!!! A BONE STOCK big ass Merc 4-door sedan that you can't take to the dragstrip and run flat out - BECAUSE YOU'D GET THROWN OUT for not having a rollcage!!!!!!!!!

Re: idrive. No. I know a lot of companies are trying to "integrate" everything into one knob, or reduce the amount of controls/knob/buttons in the interest of simplicity. No. I vote no. I DON'T WANT to use my navigation system to control the AC, radio, cd-changer, seats, windows, locks, and all those things, ON TOP of the GPS. I WANT separate components. Say I want to adjust the AC WHILE I am changing the radio station. Can't do it. Say I want to switch the CD WHILE I am looking at the current GPS map. Nope. So please, give me COMPLEXITY. The sad part is, "innovations" such as i-drive - that are supposed to SIMPLIFY things, actually don't (as was mentioned earlier, especially for the "age group" most likely to buy these high-end cars). I WANT separate +/- controls for the dual-zone climate control, separate controls for both front seats, etc. etc. please. Is it asking too much, lol.
Check out this supercharged M5....... it's uhhmm..... kinda fast. and sounds mean as all hell.

pretty damn fast....... It's gotta be running low 11's/high 10's..... judging by how it smokes these other cars........
