man... I went over there just to sell some s2k wheels for a girlfriend of mine... she's got a set from her ex to put on her prelude but since the offset was so much it wouldn't fit on her car... I go over to s2ki.com to post and then some crazy guy named drop_top goes and slanders me all over the place... he even goes and looks up my unadvertised and unannounced backup website where I put my old journal entries (not for everyone to see but for me to keep a backup in case my computer crashes) ... since his car got broken into he jumps all over me and claims to instantly know everything about me...

I hope we don't do the same kind of stuff here at acl.com... it'd be a shame... just b/c some newbie comes onto the board to sell stuff doesn't mean a) it's stolen b) he's trying to rip us off...

if you guys are losing money we should all start using escrow.com ... 3% fee for anything under $5000. A minimum of $15... so say you get a set of wheels for $500, it only costs $15 to have peace of mind... just a tip to any people that may be buying stuff off the boards... unless it's pick up, play it safe and drop the $15...

 

Although I agree with you that DropTop needs to take an anger management class, I don't think you should be upset for him posting your RoadRunner home page.

If you want your personal life to be a secret then consider this: DON'T POST IT ON THE INTERNET.

At least consider a forum name that is different then your homepage name. Try to make it somewhat difficult to find information on you unless you are interested in the opposite. It's pretty easy for anyone to do an google search, especially if you have such a unique alphanumeric moniker as you do.

 

yeah... it was good that he found it so I could remove it all and hide it somewhere else... I didn't know you could look up roadrunner screen names and webpages just from using google... if I knew this was the case I would have hidden the files elsewhere...

however I am still upset at him for posting my roadrunner homepage b/c it had nothing to do with sale of the product... I don't see how my journal entries had to do with the s2k wheels...

But...despite whatever your own personal feelings are, some people will be uncool and publish stuff like that.
