S2000 Fever Now Over And I'm Back From The 'Twilight Zone'

I must have been in the 'Twilight Zone' to think I could get in and out of the S2000 easily. I went to the dealers today ready to sign the papers. When I got there, I decided to drive the car again to make sure this was the car I wanted to swap my CL in for. I entered and exited the S2000 a few times to make sure my bad hip could take it. It couldn't. I was so sore I just said to the salesman, "I can't do this." Even though I slid the seat back as far as it could go, I still needed to twist my leg a certain way to get in and out. Getting in and out of a bath tub would be alot easier. So...that's it. I really appreciate my CL-S much more now. It has balls, luxury, SPACE enough for an old fart like me to enter easily and a 6 CD player and power seat and better climate control (although putting top down on the S2000 was sweet), I'll settle for the sun roof. God Bless My CL-S!

I hear ya Pappy ! You just don't know how comfortable the CLS seats are until you compare. I have to be honest, they (CLS seats) are the most comfortable of all the Acura's including the NSX ! We really have a great car !
Enjoy !

Welcome back we thought you lost it for a second Im glad you snapped out of it. The more time I own my CL-S the more I appreciate it.....I thought it would be the opposite.

Good choice! If you bought the S2000 you would have been begging for the return of your CL-S. That's why I told you you to test drive the hell out of the S2000. THe thrill is gone quickly with its small size and screaming engine.

Two things I didn't like about the car:
1. Too small...had trouble getting in and out
2. The low-tech interior
I could have lived with the low-tech interior but not the size. The rest of the car was great.

I must say, when I first went from a MB E430 to an Acura CL-S, the first thing I noticed when getting into the car was ..

"WOW ... these seats are so soft and comfortable!!!"

Then comes the navigation (awesome) and all the goodies in the CL-S.

After trading my CL-S for a M3, I took a long trip (2 hours long) between Lancaster and NJ. Argh ... the performance is awesome, no doubt, but the seats are so freaking hard compared to the CL-S. I had shoulder pain and my ass was numb. I do miss the CL comfort!

Y'know Kevin, I also had a Mercedes once and found the same damn thing. The seats were hard as rocks. It must be some kind of German thing. I guess they like hard seats. Alveterzain.

Amen, I thought that I was the ONLY ONE who thought that those seats were hard!

I agree. Must be a German thing.
