S/C Track Times from today

Mod addict has some modem problems at home so i am posting his times for him

60 deg
55% humidity
there were some strong winds but i forget what way they were blowing

The day started alright for me i actually got 1 2.2 60' out of my bald tires but later on my traction went to shit and all me 60' were in the high 2.3 or 2.4 range

my best time

Mod addict------- me
1.099----- .686
2.544 ------ 2.317
6.537----- 6.247
9.621----- 9.414
78.78 ----- 78.41
14.451----- 14.467
102.93 ------ 97.83

mod addicts best time

me ------- mod addict
.715------ 1.050
2.343------ 2.255
6.305---- 6.004
9.488------ 9.055
76.55 -------- 81.38
14.564 ------- 13.879
97.58---- 102.93

mod addict had half a tank of gas and still had the spare in the trunk, his car def quick as hell and if he preps it right and uses some high octane race gas to help the higher boost pulley he can get under 13.5 for sure, even is 60' was a 2.255 witch is decent but can be improved for sure

as for me, i am not goin back to the track until i get new tires, this track in not known for traction and my bald stock tires dont help it any

jtkz13 aka joe was also at the track with us and he pulled a 14.5 w/ a 2.3 60' on a bone stock 6 speed, prety good for stock tires

mod addict and i swapped cars for one run but the guy running the tree said you couldnt drive a car that your not registered for so i couldnt drive his car down the track but i did get a chance to do a few WOT runs through first gear, the blower sounds soo sweet def the best way go get that low end power out of our cars the car just pulled crazy and hauled even better in vtec

it was nice mettin members from the board, hope to see yalll again

is mod addict an automatic, or 6-speeder? If he's auto, that's pretty damn impressive .. i guess it's pretty darn impressive even for a 6-spd

read my whole post man, his car can run 13.4 no problem, he has stock tires, half a tank of gas and the spare in, all that would put him at 13.5, since he has the high boost pulley some 100 octane would really help him

then add, b pipe, exhast, piggy back, tuning, inter coolering by scalbert and he just mihgt be in the 12's

Good to hear some decent S/C times. I really want to do some motor mount and bushing mods and see what my 6-speed can run. Really difficult to get a hard launch without lots of wheel hop with the 6-speed.

when i ran 14.2 it was right after i rotated my stock tires, so the front ones had thread, they are bald as shit now so i get NO traction at all

i aint goin back to the track till i get new tires, that will be in the spring, i'll also have my new crank pulley on, so better times are comin if i can hook up

the day i went 14.2 i was pullin consistent 2.2 60 foots

off my 14.46 run i went 2.31 on the 60', so if that gets down to 2.18ish, thats a high 14.2 or low 14.3 sec run, my car is def strong but i aint hookin up at all

Notice how 3/10's on the 60' helped nearly 6/10's on the 1/4-mile E.T for the same MPH!

Nice runs... get some traction and you'd be deep in the 13's!

I'll believe your 13.4's and 13.5's when I see it out of his car ... until then, he can run a 13.8 ...

I've never heard of 100 octane helping any TypeS at the track, tires are probably the only one of those listed things that'll actually improve his times w/ his current setup, and by .1-.2 .. none of this 13.4 bizness.. i give him props, regardless.

u dont know what ur talkin about man

to run the high boost pulley u need 93 octance, w/ some 100 octane u would see gains, scalbert it workin on a inter cooler for the blower, the car is not tuned at all, just threw the blower in there, yes he ran 13.8 but theres alot more to come from this car just from MINOR changes/mods

u don't know how to read stud,

i said WITH HIS CURRENT SETUP ... tires would only net him a little more .. this is the dumbest argument i've ever had online .. my last dumb argument was probably w/ you as well. Props to ModAddict, peace out.

Here's my best slip of the day:

RT - .539
60FT - 2.306
330Ft - 6.237
1/8 ET - 9.442
1/8 MPH - 77.85
1/4 ET - 14.522
1/4 MPH - 96.55

My best mph of the day was like 96.98 mph. So close to 97 mph

I'm pretty happy with the time. I seriously doubt it will go any quicker on stock tires. I was on the gas light for all the runs, but the spare/jack was still in the trunk. Tire psi was 28 front & 41 rears.

BTW Darrin like that .506 RT I pulled against ya. I also pulled a .499 :o Soooo close to a perfect .500

ModAddict has the blown auto TLS, running the 13.87s. Darrin is N/A.

you listed tires, gas, and spare tire, and octane as a 4-5 tenths improvement....

every 100lbs = theoretical 1 tenth and if the computer is acting that well to 100 octane to compensate that much....why not go with c14 or some sunoco race gas?

Great times for the S/C TL-S. It would have been a shame if he didn't get into the 13s. With new rubber he might see 13.6.

Pretty good times. Thats about .3 to .4 seconds faster than the fastest N/A auto 3.2 CLS/TLS not spraying! Props to modaddict...especially for repping the TLS crowd! With less gas and better tires I can see a mid-13.

Darrinb, I don't know about a 12 second run though. You'll need quite a bit more power for that and besides the intercooler Scalbert is working on I don't think anything you mentioned will add a whole lot of power. Would race fuel really help if he doesn't have the programming for it? I'd love to be proven wrong but I only know of one 12 sec CLS and it was a 6-speed putting ridiculous power to the wheels.

Allmotor, what was your best quarter?

Good run on the TLS! Maybe when Scalbert finds out more about the e-manage for FI cars, you will be able to fine tune it, and then aim for low 13's.

12.9 @ 111.87mph. These were only on DR's and at 1000ft elevation. Since everyone is 'supposing' on stuff... I 'suppose' if I were on slicks... it would be a 12.5run on 6psi. My 60' was a 2.1x I believe.

The MPH speaks volumes...

Thats what i've learned, which is why I am thinking that a 12-second run will be difficult with an auto. there is a 9 mph difference between your run and mod's and you were putting down some 80+ more whp. I hope he can but we'll see.

obviously not flaming here but I just think Darrinb is being very optimistic after a 13.8 run. Either way I think what modaddict has done is awesome and that TLS is one fast bitch!

That's what I'm talking about . . .

This is also where the driver's skills come in to play. You just can't show up with a trade rag report on how you car is faster. So what! He still has to beat me.

I had to rent a freekin helmet! (13.xx seconds)

It was my first time at the track. I drove two hours down the highway, right into tech inspection, and into the staging lane. My first race was against an early 90's Mustang , I rolled six feet past the staging beams, before I realized. We staged and took off with almost identical reaction and 60 times,.... we won't say what they were,.... and I took the 15.285@89.99 Rustang with a 14.208@102.33. I tried traction control on and off and the best times came with the T/C on, and in the right lane. I had the 13.879, and also, 13.929, 13.969, and a couple of 14.0xx, all above 102 mph. I ended the day against a 12.739@112.49 '03 Mustang SVO Cobra. I thought I was standing still as I watched him drive away.

Darrin, thanks for your help,.....I had a great time!
