For S/C members.................

Out of all the supercharged members, how many of you guys or gals have a supercharged CL-S with the stock CT kit. No HBP or any other modification. I have noted that most of the charged cars have gauges/meter to monitor FP and Boost. I purchased the charger for my CL-S 6spd and needed to know if the meters are need when I am planning to run the SC system as it comes from CT and I do not foresee doing the HBP on my system. Will it be safe to run my car without monitoring the FP and boost? BTW, how much boost does the stock Scharger (as sold by CT) produces?

Sorry for all the questions but I dont want to screw my car over and have to pay extra labor to install meters down the road.

your gauges are important, they tell you what is going on with the car.

if anything.. get a fuel gauge installed under the hood if you are dead set on not having gauges in the cabin where you can monitor them while driving.

the stock CT kit comes with 3lb boost pulley... most upgraded to 5lb boost pulley. and a select few have done the 9lb boost pulley with I/C installed.... and I think 1 or 2 are running 10lb pulleys for sure.

I might add.. it will save you labor costs if you just upgrade to the 5lb pulley when you do the initial install.

I'm running the base pulley and when I dynoed at Comptech, it hit 4 lbs of boost. I've got around 9K miles on mine without any problems that I'm aware of. I am not running any gauges currently but am seriously considering them.

The FPR plays such an important role with this kit and the benefits are there for gauges - even with the base pulley.

NSX-Tuner is also running a CL-S6 with a base pulley and has more miles of experience that I'm sure he will share also.
