It also says that it's all a rumor right now. There are too many internet rumors, just wait until it comes out (or at least is unveiled at a car show).... it's easier that way. The timeframe seems right though since the TL is due for a redesign in 2003 as a 2004 model, but who knows what features it's going to have yet.........

For sure the TL is redesigned in 2002 but the fact that RWD is thought of the next TL/CL, that is the first time I hear this from a source, although I mentioned it before that that might be the possibility for the next gen of our cars.
As for where it says that our car might get the 3.5 liter from the RL as an optional engine, I doubt that. That engine should disappear because it is old design. Look at the difference between the 3.5 liter from the MDX and the 3.5 liter from the RL and you will see what I mean. Can it be massaged? Sure but it will be super expensive. Why not get the engine from the MDX and massage that one lightly. Also the fact that the MDX engine is ULEV and the RL is LEV is a big factor too. I am sure the next engines for our cars will be ULEV.
Amazing rumor about the S2000 though. Wow. Can you imagine a 500HP OEM S2000?
As for the NSX I dont know what to think. THe latest rumor as I have posted before is a 3.4 liter V6 making 340HP and a cheaper price (possible in the $60s I would say to go against the 911). But I was guessing a Type S version with the rumored V8. The article mentions that as a Japan-version-only.
If Acura wants to go against the 911, and C5, they have to stay in the $60K area. If they want to have a Ferrari 360 Modena type of car, they have to go into great lengths and the price will have to be above $120K. That is why I was thinking: "why not do both?" NSX and NSX Type S.
