2004 Audi A4 - 1.8T quattro AWD 4dr Sedan (3.0L might be over 35K)
2003 Cadillac CTS - MSRP is 35,400 w/ options it'll be close (unless you can get it for invoice).
2003 Infiniti G35 4dr Sport Sedan
2002 Lexus IS 300 4dr Sedan
and a bunch of stuff made by Subaru (I think all their models are AWD).
Most of the models above have a base of under 35K, but the top model fully optioned (or at least equipted like a CLS, leather, etc) will run a little over the 35K mark.

I still never understood how CLS owners with nice interiors... can then go to cars like the Evo and STI.
Doesnt the interiors make you sick? I mean dropping 30k for that interior. I perfer the civic interior.
IMO of course.

Because the CLS is FWD, n/a, fifteens stock, and I am willing to give up the luxury for AWD, turbo, thirteens stock.
I like a luxury interior as much as the next guy but I'm willing to sacrifice that for the performance I want in my next car.
Although trust me the interior of the s2000 is very appealing to me and tempts me away from the turbo/awd setup I really want, especially since it still offers excellent handling/steering.

oh I'll be waiting for the 04 model of the Evo though, to see what changes and hope they address some of the issues with the 03s.

I would go with the Evo also, but if I had to haul kids or wasn't 21 years old I would get the G35.

Mine ran somewhere in the 14s with just a removed intake silencer and suspension mods but it's still not a performance car.
Btw liquid_x I hope you read evolutionm.net thoroughly before you consider spending $30k on a Mitsubishi product. There are so many complaints about quality issues and most of all dealership warranty refusal and service department bullshit.
Latest example (one of way too many examples):

Thanks for the headsup. I troll that site every other week or so and read nothing but complaints. I feel bad for that guy in the thread. They say subaru is the same way but a little more lenient. I can't believe these companies release cars that people want and then screw them over when something goes wrong. Personally I'm looking at a factory boosted car but knowing me my warranty would probably be voided too once I finish with the modding.

although when it comes down to quality there's no doubt the s2000 is miles ahead of subaru or mitsu.
