Running without a catalizer, any problems ?
Is there any advantage to running our CL-S's without a catalizer ? Was wondering if there is much gain by removing it. We have no emissions testing in our area and was wondering if anyone had tried it. Any success ? Any horror stories ?

your CEL will prob come on and that will make you fail inspection unless you get an o2 simulator but I dunno how that works on the acuras....I never thought about doin it to my CLs
On my is300 I had removed the all the cats and had 3" piping coming from tuned port headers with a straight pipe....no backpressure what so ever and the gains were astonishing but way too loud. I used a dual output o2 sim to trick my ecu bc OBDII sucks.......

unless you were supercharging the car I dont think you would gain much from this. Our stock exhaust is very high flow, which is why adding Comptech axle back mufflers will only get you 2-3hp at best, and the bpipe another 2-3hp .. but add those to a supercharged car and its more like 15hp ..
you would probably lose alot of low end torque from lack of back pressure, and gain a few horsepower at the top end......
