They are available in the US!!! They give about the same performance as a GT2, and the cost is a little less. I think they look HOTT!!!!! I saw an article in one of the car mags a couple of months back about one. I don't remember specifics, but I do remember what I said above!!

they are quite a bit faster then the GT2 and cost a little bit more

They are extremely rare, i think they build about 20 turbo cars a year, but they do endless other things. They do quite a bit retrofitting.

Yea they are available in the US, there are quite a few 993 turbo R's in my area.

Look at the stats that liquid x posted, just a 10th faster to 60. The top speed is a little higher, by 10mph maybe??? I remember the 1/4 mile times being about the same too!!!!! They are not that much faster!!!!! I still remember the cost being about the same as well. Take a porsche base turbo and add $75K I think, and with what the GT2 costs, about the same??? Don't get me wrong, I would take a RUF over a GT2 ANY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I just remember the numbers being about the same!!

my porsche was pushing 600HP with the stock turbos but all the internals done, carillo rods, huge intercooler, large oil coolers, straight exhaust and sport cats...
I'm pretty positive I was running at least 3.8secs to 60, prolly a bit quicker...my mechanics car, pushing 847 to the wheels runs a 2.6 0-60 time with his 70mph first gear.

RUF's #'s are extremely conservative and their HP ratings are to the wheels. You are telling me a car w/ 520 to the wheels is running just a tenth faster to 60 then a car w/ 460 at the motor?. There is a new R turbo in the US that is hitting low 11's w/ traction problems. Also, the GT2 won't touch 212 mph
