Which Rotors would you choose?

I am going to replace the crappy factory rotors this week. It seems like most people have Brembo rotors. So should i get these?

..or these?

I would have just included the pictures of them, but I have no idea how to upload pictures. I want to put up pictures of my new rims too. Also, since I'm no car expert, is there anything I should know about rotor replacement? Thanks.

If you are just looking for a stock replacement go with the Brembo blank. If you are looking for a slotted rotor you should consider the ROTORA slotted rotors. They perform very well, help dissipate heat, and are less prone to warpage. Many of the members on this forum run these rotors and I personaly ran them on my CL-S and loved them.

If you are interested in ROTORA rotors PM me for details and prices with your year, model, and zip code and whether you want front and/or rear rotors/pads.

if you have to choose from those two then I would be pick the powerslots. I fully agree with excelerate and suggest going with the Rotora rotors.

That's prolly what I'll do. I don't need anything for racing, but I do want an upgrade over the factory rotors. The brake pads will be replaced soon too. Any non expensive suggestions?

Actually no that is not cheaper than ROTORA.

ROTORA Slotted Front Rotors $165
ROTORA Slotted Rear Rotors $140
ROTORA H2 Ceramic pads (F) $55
ROTORA H2 Ceramic pads (R) $45
Shipping ranges from $20 to $50

So the max total is $455 if you are in the continental U.S. and that is cheaper than $460.

could I use factory pads with rotora slotted rotors on the front? Should I replace the front and rear sets if i change to ebc pads. can I use ebc pads on the factory rear rotors?

You can use factory pads for any rotors.

Change your pads when you change rotors. Always

EBC pads will warp your stock rotor, they run hot due to their compound (green and red).

I would suggest a ceramic based pad... excellent heat transfer and grip. Though they create more dust than non-ceramic. Also, they are much quieter than others.

Can slotted rotors be resurfaced? I'm looking for rear rotors and pads. And some good DIY instructions. As far as the rotors and pads, I'm not looking for anything fancy. Anyone know the price of the stock rotors and pads? And how do they compare in terms of length of usage against a aftermarket like a Brembo blank.

TIA
