Rotora BBK Installed. PICS INSIDE

They were just finished earlier today. I'll test the maximum stopping power a few hundred miles from now, but from what I've already tried, these brakes are AWESOME!!! A world's difference from the stock brakes. They will be great help with my upcoming headers and S/C.

Thanks to Arnold for the help and going beyond what was needed to finish the job. He is highly recommended and a Also, to Edddie who was my passenger so I can skip traffic using the carpool lane.

I'll be painting the rear calipers in a week or two.

Rotora Red BBK /w Hardware, Rear Rotora Slotted /w Axxis Ultimates, ATE Blue Syn Fluid

We need a big brake kit for the rear of our cars It would complete the look even if it provided no real increase in stopping power.

True, that too is my current research route. I'm highly thinking of getting a custom setup provided it's compatible with the stock MC and ABS system.

Rotora is working on a rear setup for our cars so help is on the way. You may want to call Rotora and express your interest. The more inquiries they get, the higher demand they see and will hopefully speed up the project.

Congrats
The kit looks great behind those wheels. If you think it stops good now, just wait. It'll get better as the brakes bed in further.

Looks badass Nite. Congrats to you bro. I re***y like the Rotora Red Calipers more on a TW car. ON the flip side, I think Smitty's Black powdercoated Rotora Calipers looks great on the SSM.

very nice, So when you get the rest of your mods, you should have a final shoot and try to get some coverage in potential magazines...

Update:

As for the install cost, I'd rather Arnold disclose that as I know sometimes prices are tight.

After about a hundred miles of driving, they are breaking in just nicely. The stop "feeling" has very much improved since I drove away from Arnold's shop. Pedal feel is definitely firmer. I had a chance to actually use it last night approaching a camera-zone green-to-yellow light, I stomped on the brakes at 50% pressure and stopped waaaay before the line (the car next to me did not. he should be getting a nice ticket in the mail soon). No more of that "oh shit I hope I make" it feeling, now the car literally stops where and when you want it to stop.

While washing my car yesterday... I noticed the rear pads (Axxis Ultimates) do create significant amount of brake dust, but so does my VW, so I'm used to it. On top of that, the RonJon's clean up nicely.

No abnormal sounds. squeeking, squeeling, etc. only the standard whirling noise you sometimes get from slotted rotors.

The only thing I'm afraid of is if I'm in a bad situation where the car BEHIND me can't stop or match my brake distance, that would totally suck.

Yeah, the Axxis pads kick up a ton of dust. This problem is killing me because cleaning my Superleggeras is a real PITA because of all the spokes.

Is there a performance pad, however, that does not make a lot of dust? I've had Green Stuff pads before and they were just as bad if not worse.

I may have to do this upgrade. After pushing the CL hard on the track, the stock brakes really suck.

if they do come out with a rear brake kit, I hope they have decent pads... because like the rest of you, these Axxis pads are driving me nuts with all the dust they produce.

Around 1K MSRP.... Depending on how they want to figure R&D, they may make it available in 4 pistons (1.5K) or 2 piston /w vented rear rotors.

Yes, technically you can, but spacing is off when the rotor lies flat against the hub (too deep or too shallow). Not to mention you have to machine spacers to extend the calipers farther.
