Roof Overlays
Okay, so Idk if everyone is familiar with BlueBatmobile's vinyl overlay stuff, he's done a bunch of stuff for TSX'ers and TL'ers (3g+) and all of his stuff looks awesome!
So I was wondering..I've always liked the way the roof overlays looked on the TSX and TLs...and thought..why not on the CL?
Anyone want to try and see if we can get some made? I already emailed him and asked..
What ya think?

its ugly..if you do a search..black roof? something like that you will find a bunch of photoshops on a whole bunch of color schemes...i think it looks nice on the tsx...the nav antenna should be blacked out though imo...im pretty sure it doesnt look good on the CL...my friends got it on his vw jti, cept he actually had the roof painted black, not just a vinyl...

eh, i think it only looks good with a carbon hood. especially with a carbon trunk.
how much would these run tho?
(and...is it just vinyl? how about he hooks up a carbon overlay?)

The standard ones cost around $60-70 bucks, and I haven't asked him about carbon overlays yet but I'm sure he'll be able to!
I agree tho, I think if you have a c/f hood/trunk already, or even black wheels this would look pretty dope

Dont listen to him people are always going to say that it looks like shit
then there are people that are going to say it looks good
you should make a decision on if you think it would look good I think it would look great on a CL

Yeah see if he can add it to his vinyl line-up...that would be cool to have more options.
I never try to stop people from making stuff for our cars since there isn't much out there.
On another note...
Yeah I just checked out their site...
Crazy amount of shit but didn't find their site very user friendly.
Ned customer #'s this or that and PDF catalog for non-customers doesn't have very much vinyl in it.
They stuff I saw looked good though.

all the photoshops ive seen make it look like turds ...
the roof lines dont flow back and to the side as well as they do on the TSX and TL --- your gonna have a nice subtle design starting at the bottom of the CL widnshield, but once it hits the top your primary vehicle color is going to jut inwards and look like shit.
It would look good if our roof lines followed the windshield and rear window lines (like the TL and TSX), but they dont, so it wont look good.

Wish people would respond to their emails faster

That's one HUUUGE sticker. I like seeing them on the white, red and silver cars but how funny would it be if somebody put a British flag on their roof like the coopers or the Ohio's colors. ha ha

I have an AM CL, so I think the black would contrast nicely with the gray. If the roofline weren't so bad I would be way more enthused

Well whether you are for this or not, I have gotten BlueBatMobile to agree on making one for a tester car! So if you are interested in having this done and live near San Diego, email him at bluebatmobile@san.rr.com and he'll see about making some for us and the 2gTL guys!

I love the carbon fiber roof on the new M3. Especially in white. With red leather.
