Well if you have a cl and the kit why dont you just place the kit up to the car and see how it looks without the rear? I kinda wanna see a cl with the sideskirts only. For the front i cant add a lip cause i will scrape for sure and the back piece im not too fond of, maybe if it was molded to the bumper itd look better.

See link below for pics of MSW car. Also too cold out to test how it would look.

Pull any pic off the RJ site and I can attempt to simulate a stock rear bumper, minus the lip. What color si your car?

I think a Ron Jon kit delete would look better.

Could not agree more. C'mon RJ, round off that front lip and I'd be all over one of your kits.

Copy the Sema CL front bumper, just without the fins on the side

I'm sorry, but there is no way I'm redoing the Cl kit, the car is so old now.
Besides, I like it and it's not as bad as everybody thinks. The kit is basically a simple extension of the stock car's lines, just different dimensions. No extra fins or cuts or anything. Looks alot better in person:

for some reason it looks alot more sudtle in the silver

I like it better than the sema for sure, but I hate that silver piece in the lower grille and I think thats whats making it look like it sticks out too much. because the lower grille sits in further so thats what catches your eye and makes it look like the bumper is far out IMO but I like it anyways

sema kit is sex, but that would be expensive for a full bumper front and rear since it isnt a lip kit. Also noone will ever make it besides 1 off customs. Atleast RJ tried to make us an option, i give him props for that. I kinda wish i woulda done the widebody fenders when my car was in the bodyshop. the guy offered to do it.

The RJ side skirts and rear bumper are fine, its the front lip that kills it for me. The Sema kit wouldnt be hard to replicate with a lip. Aside from the lower portion, the only structural difference with the bumper is it isnt as long because it doesnt have the crash bar behind it.

A simple lip that extends the lines of the bumper down, not out, will work nicely.

The two red circles are the main problems I have with that lip. Its too much negative space. There needs to be something, but because of the shape and angle, it just doesnt look right.

^ That subtle change would've fixed what's wrong with the kit!

For me its not the color, its just the shape of the empty space. But theres nothing I can do about it, so Im not going to keep bitching about it.

But here is a similar angle in another color:

And that is one of the Sarona lip spoilers btw.

Well the chrome piece in the lower grille is not a part of the RJ kit. That's just something he just added on his CL. Just act like you don't see it

I wonder how the TL lip, like Kyle7777's, would look with the RJ sides or rear.

Its funny that this thread started about a rear delete and all we talk about is the front, Btw I can see why you dont like the RJ kit

Lol, Im not trying to get on Rons case about it. Its just one of those things keeping me from buying it. If hes willing to sell the rear and sides seperately then Ill pick them up and do something to the front.

I believe its one of the Sarona variants.

I love the kit, and wish Brian didn't post it in blue since that is the color of my CL Hopefully I can save up the $$$ for a kit some day, or find a decent one used. [One time in my life I'm actually going to have a car long enough that I can actual lower and get a kit on at the same time! :S LOL] Can always use the lip as a starting point and modify it some before paint for a different look.

To the OP, i saw a SSM that had the TL kit moulded on...just the front and sides and it looked okay. He did have the rear mud guards painted which really helps the transition from sides to rear.

I have to admit the RJ kit looks 100% better in person.
You can sit here and nit-pick every angle of every picture. But when you see it on the road it looks mean! I'm assuming most of you guys have not actually seen a CL with one. You may be pleasantly suprised if you do.

the reason they look different to you is because different colors reflect light differently, plus the black grill part above it stands out on silver but blends into the lip on darker cars. on a side note i hate how our stock bumpers have that extra lip on the bottom with the holes cut out. you can see it looking at the car from both front and back. just dsnt look right to me. Asked my bodyshop about removing that section but he didnt want to for structural rigity reasons.
