Although this problem has been previously reported, I was wondering if anyone has come up with a "home made" solution to this problem. The dealer said that the bushings in the seat base are worn. I smelled a sizable repair bill in the making so I said thanks but no thanks.

By the way, mine's a 2001 CLS with 56,500.

 

Same problem here, im still under warranty so im just gonna have it checked out next time I go in for some "routine" warranty repairs.

 

do you mean the entire seat moving or just the seat back? i thought it was my imagination when i thought the seat back would move sometimes. i can't seem to duplicate it by hand though.

 

I'm talking about the seat base rocking ever so slightly but noticeably back and foward. What I question is the replacement of an entire seat base as opposed to a replacement or a shim of some sort being used to secure the seat base.
