Roadlamp Question

Anyone out there know the voltage/wattage on the stock roadlamps. I just want to make sure I am replacing them with a correct bulbs.

They're 12 volt bulbs and 4 watts, I believe.

Yes it is a 5 watt 12 volt wedge style light.

But 18 watts works fine too, I've had my Polarg M-6s (18w) since late December and they're *much* brighter looking than 5w

did you notice any melting on the road lamp casing with the polargs. i have the piaa's now and would like to try the polargs!

I've had my Polarqs in for about 2 months and havent had any problem with overheating or anything.

I thought someone else also had polargs and they did melt on him??

I will wait until the summer to see if anyone has melting issues.

Are the polargs blue like the piaa's? Since the piaa's are small, the blue during the day isn't noticable. How noticable are the polargs in the day?

Someone mentioned they melted the lens on another car. Our road lamps have enough room between the lens and the bulb. So it is not a problem. I've had mine in for a few months, no melt.
