I'm in Los Angeles this week on a business trip. Went down to Rodeo Drive for some shopping and a group of people with VERY NICE cars were having a road rally on Rodeo Drive. They had about 30 cars sitting on a blocked-off Rodeo Drive, out for display for everyone to look at until they left around 2:00 to drive together to Pebble Beach. The Road Rally included such cars as:

Brand New Ferrari Modena
2 brand new other Ferraris (don't know the models)
Shelby Cobra
Brand New Mercedes SL500
Brand New Masarati
several old Porche Speedsters/911-type?
1959 Corvette
70's Corvette Convertible with 427
Old and new Aston Martins
Old Jaguars
Old Ferraris

Checking out the inside of the new Ferraris - they don't have a gear shift in the middle?? They had a sort of lever/paddle on each side of the steering wheel - one said "up" and the other said "down"...is this how they shift gears???

 

Yeah those are the F1 type paddle shifters! Those are great!!
