HELP, i've got a 03 CL-S6 which don't have roadlamps. Will the 01-02 lamps work (will the factory mounts work?) and what would i do about a factory wiring harness for the lamps?

OMG... Search the noob guide.

BTW, as for wiring (i'm feeling nice)(this is how it works on a 01-02):

This is just for reference and how you have to wire them. the image is as if you were looking at the nose of the car.

Should be self explanatory really..

For an 03, just wire them into the parking lights. You will not have any cutting of the original harness to do as there is no original harness.

It seems like we lost a bunch of posts with the latest forum upgrade. My searches really don't get to many results or guides for roadlamp information. I've tried!

Still no one will talk about the mount brackets or wiring harness for a 03. I can always buy a fog light kit for Autozone but i want a complete factory look. Thanks guys!

They will fit 100%.
Original parts will need to be taken off of the inserts (if you get the roadlamps without them) and just put them in with the screw that you got with the inserts...

BTW, the very first thread here in the second gen section is called:

*** Official 2nd Gen CL Information Thread ***

and those words are linked to this address

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/%2A%2A%2A-official-2nd-gen-cl-information-thread-%2A%2A%2A-480087/

which takes you to the Official 2nd Gen CL Information Thread

go down to post number 5 in which the 5th link down says:

DIY: How to install 2002 CLS road lamps on 2003 CLS - running lights foglights

Just for the record those links don't help someone looking to wire the roadlamps into the parking lights on a 01-02. My roadlamps are already installed. I was trying to find wiring directions to make sure 1. the lights would turn on with parking lights, 2. they dont flash with my turn signal, 3. an inline fuse wasn't necessary for the additional draw on the tapped parking lights. So thanks for any posts to help with the configuration.

My response was to tbiddie...

As for your question. You have to get a 12 volt circuit tester (they are a pretty cheap at a auto parts store and all they are is a clip for ground attached to a wire and on the other side, something that looks like a pick looking thing with a bulb inside of it), ground the clip to something (i did to some bolt/nut in the engine bay), turn on your parking lights and your 4 ways. Pull put the bulb from your headlight (you will have directions in your owners manual on how to pull it). Use the pick part to pierce through the wire's insulation (will make a small hole that you will not have to worry about it), and see if the light in the tester is blinking, staying solid or not on at all. If blinking, then that's the flasher. Dont use that one. If its off, thats your ground wire. You can use this one as the ground for the second wire in from the road lamps. If its on solid, you splice into this one for the + side of the wire that goes to your road lamps.

Nothing is needed for an inline fuse or anything as the fuse running the parking lights is enough to handle 2 more small bulbs...

As for your wiring diagram, i posted it earlier...
