uh, it took me like 3 minutes to decipher that post.

i have 16w bulbs in there now (plain bulbs, so it's just brighter, not blue or white).

i had 18w raybrigs, but those burned out too quickly. i heard the 18w polargs are good.

here, this is from the comparison i did a couple months ago. if i can recall correctly, the order is:
(left vs right)

stock vs. yellow 5w
stock vs. piaa 5w
stock vs. amber 5w
stock vs. sylvania 16w (clear, the ones i have in currently)
stock vs. raybrig 18w=36w hyper (or super, don't remember)-whites.

i liked the raybrigs the best, but they burned out like in a couple weeks. it wasn't a fluke either, i had 2 sets (4 bulbs) and they all went out that quickly.

I think I'd like to get a set of Polarg M6's, only if they came in say a 12W bulb though, I'm afraid 18w would burn out or burn the casing or lens. Right now I have PIAA's and they are decent...

Polargs will not burn the lens....
Some people have had them in for close to a year with no problems, mine are in 2 months no problems.

i got the sylvanias at autozone for like $4 a pair or something.

there's no wattage listed on the package, but this bulb has it printed on the bulb itself, so it was a bitch and a half to find it.

i think it's #194LL or something...black and orange packaging.

The housings on the 2002 TLS are made of the same material and have fogs in them and those do not burn up.

Do the Sylvania's have the blue-ish look when the lights are turned off like the Polarg M6s do? Are there any bulbs that would give the light that the Polargs do, but without the blue look when they're turned off?

the sylvanias are just regular 16w replacement bulbs for a turn signal or blinker or something, so they're clear.

i don't think there's any bulb that is like the polargs but not blue...it's the blue that makes the whitish color when it's on.

unless you want to switch to halogens, but i tried that and i don't suggest it.

Deeno... which bulbs do you have in? What brand and model number? Or a part number? Thats what I want... simply brighter, none of this blue crap.

i have the sylvanias in for a couple months now.

the model number is 194LL, but you should confirm it's the 16w one by lookig on the bulb...there should be written a small

"W 16 W" or something like that on it.

Thanks Deen. In case I have trouble, what is the size? What type of bulb will fit in there? Is it a standard size or something?

I got my Polargs for about 25 dollar and No they do not burn the housing and no they don't look blue. And yes they are the closet match to the HID"s , better than Piaa's IMO.

the bulbs are larger than the stock 5w, but the wedge is the same size.

what i did was take a rotary tool to the housing so it would fit through without rubbing, but even if you don't do that, you can put it in carefully without breaking the bulb (it barely fits...you have to rotate it and work it in).

I've had them since late December. No problems. No melting. I cheated and got them from a local shop @ 7.99/bulb

Headlights on during the day? Nawww people would complain and think my car is a gay POS like the GM vehicles with DTRLs.

But on gloomy, dark days that HID white is stunning! I gota turn them on hehe
