Ya, you have to run the wires, but thats the way you want it so you can turn them on at anytime.

i wanted to setup some under-dash mini-neons for a little mood lighting.
not like the harsh yellow stock interior light bubls - or the super-white piaa interior bulbs i have in now.
i think this little switch would be perfect. but $49 seems a little pricey...

anyway, back on topic. i learned from the EX-BF (in a manner of speaking) that the mdx switch is black while this one is the grey that matches our other buttons.
i'll probably break down and get one for my mood neons. can't decide between blue, red or black light.

You can order a fog light switch from Honda for one of their late model Accords. They have no problem selling you the switch without the rest of the stock fog light package (unlike Acura). It cost me $24.95, and looks just like the buttons next to it in my CL-S.

Why would we want a switch for our “road lamps” anyway?
They are just side markers that are there for appearance only.
I put the PIAA 19169 bulbs in mine so they would match the Xenon’s closer, but they are still just marker lights.
If/when someone comes out with true fogs or driving lights that are the same shape as our opening, I will buy them and pick up a switch at that time.

IF there is somebody with a Factory Service Manual that can get in touch with me I think I might be able to figure out how to rewire the drving lights to the switch. I did this before on my Maxima and I think it would be the same basic Idea. just need an FSM or someone that can scan some stuff in for me from an FSM.

However, Ideally I would like the switch to turn off the roadlamps while the fog lamps are on. This is because in California, you are only allowed to illuminate one set of fogs at a time. As far as I'm concerned, the roadlamps don't count, but I don't expect to win any arguments about that if I get pulled over.
The other adavantage to having one switch turn on the fogs while turning off the roadlamps would be that the car could look totally diferent at night . . . if you wanted it to . . . for some reason.

I plan on getting some Real fog lights put right next to road lamps. Using your imaginations, how do you guys that will look? Will it look too tacky. I already have the road lamps rewired with some piaa bulbs to come on with the parking lights but it only looks good when it's kinda dark. Useless when it's day time and not good enough at night.
