road lamp alternatives

Are there any alternatives to our weak ass road lamps besides putting new polarg M6 bulbs on? Projection fog lights perhaps? Do these exist? Any other suggestions?

Someone could make a good living if they designed a housing, and upgraded harness (for current draw) that perfectly emulated our current one, but held a decent lamp; halogen at least.

PIAA 19224's...also 18W...Chod and i got together and did a side by side comparison with his M6's...virtually NO difference...unfortunately, i think the post got deleted when the site was changed to VB b/c i can't find it anywhere ...frank, do u still have the pics anywhere?? if not, can u vouche for my findings?? anyone else?? thanx

BTW, the PIAA's are about $15 + shipping...and they also burn the top of the housing, just like the M6's, but u have to have them on for a fairly long time before noticing.

Scooter I have a question?
How long approximately, 'till the light housing burns? I am making two trips to NYC and LI to visit family first trip 4 hrs max...at night/lights on. Next trip 5-6hrs max to ammityville L.I. night/lights on.

I will like to upgrade my PIAA 19169s to the m6's soon.

much longer than taking these trips out here to Long Island and the city...i've had my 19224's for about 8 months, and they're in the process of discoloring...i guess it depends on how long u drive with the lights on, and how cool u can keep the insides of the housings by how fast u're driving.
