Are RLs heavily discounted?
Since the RL is a slow seller, are they being discounted? My grandfather wants of get rid of his 2001 lincoln continental. He can't stand owning a car that's on its death bed. Although, he does like the price of an 02 continental (42 down 22). The other cars he is considering are an S-type, S80, either the lexus es/gs/ls (he loves them all), the avalon (his friend's love his), and M45.
You don't really have to give car advice. He is just planning now and probably won't buy anything until the fall (when you're old you have nothing better to do). I just want to know about the RL for him.

Look for ATLEAST $4-5 grand off the msrp
Friend's dad bought it awhile back, almost 2 yrs ago and even then he got a nice discount.
RL = out-dated, out-shined and out-performed by almost every direct rival :o
