Rising rate FPR's...hmm

So I just went to Nopi and picked up this regular FPR...

http://www.getnrg.com/nrgfuelreg_01.php

But I have been reading all this stuff about rising rate FMU's. Most of you guys have the Comptech one, and I was wondering since I have the emanage hooked up and the regular FPR, do I still need to switch that out for a rising rate? They seem to be a lot harder to find, and none of them come with a gauge.

I'd go with this.

Unless much larger injectors are installed you will need at least a 4:1 rising rate FPR. But IMO, you may need upwards od 8:1 which is pushing it.

That unit is a 1:1 as is the other one. Comptech's standard unit would work well.

you use them both together, gives you greater adjustability/tuneability than using just the riser.

The Comptech unit allows you to use it as a rising-rate (various rates, btw) or just a regular FPR. It's just as adjustable as any other FPR and is actually more versatile since it can act as a rise too.

Ok, so I am starting this up again...when you (allmotor) get back, I would like you to summarize what you have found out about fuel needs with the turbo. I may be assuming this, but what I understand from many of your posts is that our stock injectors can handle the extra fuel up to maybe 6psi right? Also, I do have the add. injector, but haven't installed it yet, and the emanage is installed, but I did nothing with the injector harness because I was gonna go with the add. injector. My WG spring is at 5.8psi for now. If I were to get the Comptech FPR and get that set right, can I just stay with that safely? By this I mean NOT use the add. Injector or wire the emanage injector harness up to the ECU?

I was just looking at the BEGI rising rate regulator, and they say it can adjust from 1:2 to 1:12 and has pretty much the same capabilities as the comptech unit. I see though that begi has a 2025 unit and a MR2025 (multi role) unit. If I want to ditch the stock regulator, then I would have to go with the mr unit which is much more expensive. Also, I wanted to verify since one, mrsteve says the J32 requires much more fuel under boost than most cars, and two the comptech unit has -6AN fittings, that I will need the BEGI 2027 unit for the bigger 1/4 NPT fittings for higher fuel flow.

I am still comparing the Comptech Unit to the BEGI unit because the begi seems easier to use. It doesn't say anything about having to buy different springs and install them...All you have to do with the begi is turn some screws. But the only unit I would get is the 2025 from begi because it is on ebay right now for 190. If that is not the one I need (meaning I either need the 2027 or even the MR 2027(over 300 bucks) ) then the comptech unit is basically the same price and I guess I will stick with that.

Just wanted even more opinions.
