Angry Rip cl 6

Two days ago I was involved in a hit and run. I was driving on the fast lane of the freeway when some idiot cut me off too close and slammed on the brakes. Instantly I slammed on the brakes and try to change lanes in it sent me sliding and spinning 180 sliding into a wall. my car has 360 damage ill post pictures later on in the day. My girl and I walked away with only bumps and bruises the idiot got away. Should've just hit that asshole. Car is totalled front frame was pushed more then a feet rear quarter panels both wrinkled only parts that are ok are the 2 doors trunk and the passenger headlight and tail light. Both airbags also deployed. Damn I miss my car.

damn, sorry to hear that man. Do you have uninsured motorist insurance, I heard sometimes you can get money from that as a hit and run.

Damn, that sucks donkey balls. Just be glad you didn't hit anyone else, otherwise that would go on your insurance as well.

I wouldn't call it a hit & run though. That guy probably things he didn't have anything to do with your accident, just some guy who spun out behind him. I know I wouldn't pull over if I was that driver, primarily because I wouldn't know that it was my fault.

Sorry to hear that but I'm glad you and your GF are ok. Aman is right it's not a hit and run but from your description the other person did contribute to the cause of the accident. If there were any witnesses who happened to get the other guys license plate then there is a possibility of going after him otherwise its a no go.

The car next to it is hit on the same side

Thanks everyone for your concerns the car will be getting gutted as soon as i can move and lift things. as of right now im on the verge of picking up a white cl-s auto w/ black interior or settling with another 2nd gen tl. very sad day, but hey things happen for a reason and no i was not going 80-90. the freeway only has 2 lanes i basically went from the fast lane to the inside emergency lane i was going about 70. theres no cameras nothing the officier that showed up told me that if he were to write a report i would be at fault no witnesses and nobody else involved thats when i knew i should hit that fucker. TL or CL 6 speed here i come either way i love acura it got me out of this accident which was pretty major with any other car i know it couldve been worse.

Sorry to see this man. Was there alot of traffic? The first thing that came to mind when I read this guy cut you and slammed on his brakes was insurance fraud.

If that was his intentions, clearly it didnt work out for him. It didnt work out for you though either

Good luck.

Yea I did get a lot of work done on this car the front radiator support and the whole car repainted wheels just got tires on it and my rotors are on its way for the rl caliper swap. I also have a sarona roof spoiler in my garage we'll see what's next what I really want is my cl back. I'm in the process of buying a new car I'm stuck between a white cl-s with black interior or get a 2nd gen tl and swap my 6 speed to either ride. Hopefully it won't be too long till I have my next car on the road. And thankyou all for all your concerns and help thoughout the years.

ive been pretty faithful to acura and acura products has taken care of me. I think these 2nd gen are very well built and got me out of 2 pretty hard crashes alive. I am happy to be an owner of this 6 speed and my car didnt let me down if i were to be in any other car it could've been worse. I love ACURA and will be staying with the 2nd gen family. I might be getting matching cars with my GF since she already has a Aegean Blue TL-s at the shop.

awww man that blows Vic. I'm sure the pain of the loss of the car is worse the bruises you got. In the end you still got your life and that's all that matters

yeah the tranny is fine the battery plate was hitting the shift linkage so it was kind of hard to get it into gear but other then that it drives but that axle is gone.

That really sucks. This is why I still caryy full coverage on mine, since its worth more to me than what it would cost to replace it.

Good luck with the work/swap.

It wasnt 17 it was HWY 237 near north 1st st heading towards 880 there are bumps in the road which separate the overpasses and i believe thats what sent me sliding with the braking and turning and my rear wheels hitting the bump all that put together made me spin out. Even when i drive normal and hit those bumps it makes it pretty uncomfortable in the rear seat. I've had people hit their heads on the rear window from bumps.
