Rim and Tire package complete *pics*

got the tires tonight...i know u guys won't like em, but i gotta tell ya, it's the most practical tire...the extra load rating will help me a TON in autox and when doing sharp cornering b/c of the weight of the car...the assymetrical pattern helps for more even treadware b/c of normal rotation, not like unidirectional tires where it's back and forth only...and the price was decent...i think i'm the first to try em on here, so i'll b sure to test them good and give u feedback...for those looking for a max perf. tire that can handle the weight of the car and then some who do not have a preference in tread pattern, this tire may b one to consider

some snaps...

Where did u get em, and if you dont mind me asking, how much? My friend was just telling me about wheelmax.com. They have rim/tire package. Anyone know what kinda tires they supply with their lower end rim deals? Like $699 for 17's w/tires. Thanks.

Matt, you'll love the Yokos, but you'll HATE the treadlife! Great tires. Enjoy!

well i was quick to snag Lou's SSR's back in December b/c he wanted to save a whopping 12 pounds getting the SSR Comps

otherwise, i woulda considered 18's no problem...the rims were an impulse buy b/c of the price, so o well

price of the Nero's was $165 in my size...originally, when i was looking at the 225-45, it was $140

Blake from Tire Rack was MORE than helpful...we went through like EVERY spec on all the tires i was interested in, which is y i was biased towards the Nero's...no matter what comparison we made, the Nero's were either identicle or better in every comparison...keep in mind, i'm just talking about the 235-45-17's...if u go on TireRack and look at the specs of the tire, this specific size has the MOST load rating, about 500 pounds more than all the others

It's gonna look great Scooter.
I hope this fixes your rubbing problem.
At least you shouldn’t get busted for driving a “stock” looking car anymore.

But I’m sure we’ll find something else to harass you about daily.

Can't wait to see the pics with them on the car. Of course the snow needs to stop for that to happen... and who knows when that will be.....

18" are a good all round size, yes, but it depends on where your priorities are. For looks 18s and 19s look great.

Here in Texas there aren't many curves, I don't do course racing, not in to show, but in to all out straight line acceleration then 17"s are better.

Nicky. He means the tires weight 24lb each.
Your rims are hot with the gunmetal.

I think 5-Spokes always look better then 6.
With FIVE spokes and FIVE lugs it just looks more balanced.

That’s what I don’t like about the 2003 wheels.

I agree. I like the double-spokes of the stock 2003's, but the SSR's look even better (w/ the 5 spokes).

Can't wait to see pics of them mounted on your car

I believe he has the SSR GT1's also.

SSR GT1 wheel weights:

17x7 = 16.5 lbs
17x7.5 = 17.5 lbs
17x8 = 17.8 lbs
17x9 = 18.3 lbs
18x7.5 = 17.8 lbs
18x8 = 19.0 lbs
18x9 = 19.7 lbs
