Scooter was racing a BMW that kept wanting to race us and Scooter follows him hard in this turn and Im right behind him and all I see is his rear-end giving out and his car going side ways down the street till he re-gained traction. It was the coolest thing I've seen cause i thought he did it on purpose and I was wondering how he did that but then he told me he almost lost it....damn that what of sucked but over-all it was definetly an experience too bad I didn't have my camera ready when it happened

Scooter looks really good....can you tell me if the lightweight wheels made any difference you could feel verses stock? Acceleration, braking, turning? Thanks!

awesome Scooter! Those are one of my favorite wheels. Your car looks totally different now. Those difusers look much better in those pics too.

The upgrades look GREAT Scooter.
I guess you won’t get hassled about having a “stock looking” CL-S anymore.

It’s amazing what Internet peer pressure can do, isn’t it?

Now about those clear un-tinted windows.

gracias compadres

and yeah, i'm an idiot for waiting soooooo long to get this done, but yer right, the car looks so much different, and between this and the diffusers, the whole front half of the car visually looks flawless, like there's nothing that sticks out like a soar thumb and calls attention...there's a great blend there (just don't turn on the lights , but i'm workin on changing the sidemarkers at this point and have a perfect solution if things go according to plan)

so don't b like me and wait and wait to get something like rims & tires

BTW, the tires r breaking in a lil, and the grip is getting better (reference Lou's post on Page 1)...instead of not hearing any warning of reaching capacity threshold when cornering, i'm getting some chirping...not a lot, just a lil...i have to reach about 500 miles on the tires in order to b fully broken in

but the spin coming home from getting install was fun...VSA was workin, so i didn't fight it

I forgot to comment on this when I first read the post but I think I know why you almost spun out.
When I had my tires installed last year the shop told me to take it easy for a few miles because there’s a protectant/sealer that is applied on the tires at the factory.
This is designed to protect the tire from dry rot & mold if it’s sitting in the warehouse for months.
It coats the entire side AND TREAD of the tires.

Mine were slippery as SHIT when I left the installer and it was RAINING too and that made it worse.

correct sir...the protective sealant is still on there some...im at roughly 100 miles...the fact that there's a sh!tload of sand around helps, but it's murder on the rims i didn't even push the tires either, i just accelerated through the turn as i always do to get a better line and speed coming out of the turn, and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if u go back in the pics, u'll notice the tires look grey and appear to have "dust" on the sidewalls...that's the protective film...coincidentally, Lou and i went to the detailing shop i go to, and when he saw the tires, he soaked & scrubbed with a solvent and powerwashed the sidewalls to a literal squeaky clean appearance so i could go in with the Meguiar's and Endurance them up

Looking good Scooter... I'm glad you finally installed them. Makes a huge difference!!

You're also a brave man for putting those on now. All I can think about is that one winter storm we had on April 1st about 6 years ago.... so I'm holding off a few more weeks before I switch on my summer tires!!
