rim suggestions

so, i'm thinking about getting some new rims. i've had chrome 19's on my cl for a while, but i worry too much about potholes and stuff. i'm in the market for some nice 18s, but i'm not willing to spend a fortune. i'm thinking 1500 max with tires. i'm open for suggestions...

thanks in advance,
cephas

Look at any of the Axis wheels. Pretty tough to get new CR's with rubeer for $1500.

I'm currently looking at Alessio F1's for my white '03 CL-S. In Baltimore, the roads and construction on 95 are horrid, so I'm also looking at 18's instead of 19's. On 18's, chromed (+$350), and including shipping the guy quoted me $1527. This was with Kumho 225/40/18. The wheel offsets on the rim are available in +35, +38, and +42. On an 8" rim what would ppl suggest as the ideal tire width for our car, especially if I plan on putting in an Eibach Pro Kit very soon?

I love the more basic 5 spoke look, and the lug pattern for our 5x114.3 is a perfect match and without any extra lug holes for that multiple/universal fit. That's what I have found if you are interested, and if anyone else knows a good rim that looks like the F1 for cheaper, or would fit better on our car, let me know. The only problem I see with the Alessios is that they weigh like 28lb each

thanks,

-D

Yes you might like Axis like GOT PSI? said. Check them out here: Axis I almost got a set of 18 inch supermesh. I think they would look great on a CL but they were out of them and didn't know when they were coming so I got some 14 lb SSR Comps instead.
