Rewiring road lamps to parking lights?

Rewiring road lamps to parking lights?
I want to rewire the road lamps so they come on with the parking light switch intead of the headlight switch. Anyone have any details on how to do this? I found this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=rewire which gives some pics, but no detailed instructions on how it's done.
Which wires go where? What tools do I need? Should I just read a book on electrical work? What do I cut/splice/glue/duct tape?
ultimately, I'd like to wire them to their own switch, so I could leave them off completely if I wanted. but the parking lights will do for now.
Please help!

wtf does that mean?seriously, I need it spelled out in details, because I have no idea what the terminology is.

Nite is telling you to tap the wires that run to your headlight assembly.... the parking lights.
that way when you turn on switch to the parking light position, it powers your fogs as well..
BUT be careful, you may not pass inspection, some states require within their state inspection laws that the fogs/driving lights HAVE to go out when the high beams are turned on.....
