Retro-fit

anyone have any experience with retrofitting projectors?

this may be a huge project not worth taking on but i thought i would throw it on the table...i want to buy some small foglight projectors...i had the IS300 in mind....bake those remove them and somehow fit them inside my roadlamps and install a phillips 3000k HID 9006 kit inside there

is it possible?

tips are greatly appreciated! thanks

Sounds like a pretty cool project, however there was a thread a while back addressing the possibility of warping due to the added heat from the brighter bulbs. The stock housings only accommodate a wedge bulb, but I'm sure with the right materials, it could be done.

that HID kit you have is cool but i was looking for more of a gold-yellowish HID....thats why i want to get the 3000k Phillips kit....ya i heard from someone else that the lense cant take the heat...but what about getting 03 airducts and cutting a small fog into them...something like the BMW 3 series fog....the 3000k looks like this

There's a big difference between driving lights and fog lights

sounds like a good plan. Tell me how it turns out in the end cause I might do it as well if it works.
