Resurfacing Rotors?
Well, had them done like 2 days after delivery...because since PDG sold like complete shit, they sat for the longest time and fucked the rotors. So, now at 14,000 miles they need it again...I already told them I'm not paying for it when the time comes :P .
How do u know when they need to be resurfaced?
- When the car seems that it needs more force on the brake
to stop?
- When the car begins to pull to one side when u hit the brakes?
- When the car has a pulsating feeling when u hit the brakes?
Like u 'feel' the ABS going 'ruh-ruh-ruh-ruh' when the brakes
are applied. Almost as if the rim on ur bicycle were warped
and u had to use the brakes. Right when the brakes met up
with that warped part of the bicycle rim it felt like u were
applying more brake pressure.
Tnx

I got mine turned within 1000 miles under warranty.
When I got the car, I immediately noticed a shudder with moderate braking from 40 to 20 mph. I took it in and had the rotors turned and now it works great. I do a lot of traffic driving and have no problems with heavy braking.
I've got to give props to this site for me even knowing what to do. This is a common complaint and the advice was perfect.

I got mine resurfaced at about 3000 miles. Every since then my brakes haven't stopped squealing and the service dept. always tells me that there's nothing wrong and that it's normal for brakes to squeal. Honestly, how could it be normal for brakes to squeal ALL the time and I mean every time I touch the brakes.

I had the rotors resurfaced at 28K and replaced at 36K.
If you read my posts about this, I initially reported the brake problems to the dealer where I bought the car (don't buy a car at Pohanka Acura--Karen Radley Acura is light years better) at 22K then again at every oil change or schedule maintenance appointment until roughly 28,500 miles. At this point, the wheel woudl sometimes shake violently when I braked down from highway speeds.
I had Karen Radley Inspect the brakes when I took the car to them for the 30K service appointment and they were still OK.
After 3K miles and a road trip to Florida, the wheel was vibrating badly again when braking from highway speed--plus when stopping in rushhour traffic, the brakes made the car feel like it was lurching forward, with the foot on the brake (over the last several rotations of the tire).
I took the car back to Karen Radley for an oil change and to have them see why the brakes were acting up again and they discovered that the rotors were not only warped badly but the warping had been aplified by the fact that the technicial who resurfaced them at Pohanka did not toruque everything down properly.
Consquently, Karen Radley performed the TL brake service bulletin on the front. My back brakes are perfect (over 75% of their life and pristine rotors).
