Well if "Big Brother" is actually reading this.. then they should realize that they should make some place around here that can accomidate drag racing..

There just isn't anything for the young racers to do on Fri and Sat nights around the Bay Area, nothing.. In LA, at least there are plenty of spots to hang out..

There must have been at least 500 cars.. and countless spectators, someone is really missing out on some serious dough..

The last Hot Import Daze should have been an indication on how many people are into the racing scene..

Sears point is just too far, and it's only on Wed..
They need to open a Milpitas Drag Strip..

my $0.02

edub, thats funny you say that. San fernando out here just got a 200,000$ grant to stop street racing. They said that it was better that money was spent fighting it an catching street racing criminals then building a track where everyone would go.

For reals??!! Those Tardos..
They will never catch or stop those people, when they arrest one, there will be 5 more to take their place..

It's just like putting money into catching drug dealers, ain't gonna happen.. but if they somehow find a way to decrease the demand, they will not have to worry as much about catching the dealers..

Street racing is popular and dangerous becuase it is illegal, bring that into a safer, legal environment and the bad street racing will decrease.

Yes, it does seem like it may be a fad, but sure seems like racing cars has been around for quite a long time.. it just seems that recently there are move imports doing it and getting attention..

Some of my friends who are in their 40's actually were saying that they also went through the racing stage and fixing up their cars when they were my age.. so what that tells me is that even if they slow it down, it will make a comeback in 5-10 years..

Well, isn't that special!

There are plenty of neighborhoods that need better police patrol but the police prefer to go chase one group that is not breaking into other people's houses, stealing cars, robbing liquor stores etc.

Guess it's a hell of a lot more fun to chase kids that street race than armed robbers who can shoot other people.

Congrats to the police dept. for setting the right priorities.
