Hi ppl:
I'm at my friend's former workplace trying to gather all of her personal email addresses and phone numbers so I can invite them all to her funeral. I came acrossed tons of reply-to emails from this forum...
Well, to make a long story short...The first week of Feb. 2003, my friend was in a car accident off Hwy 680 in Pleasanton, Ca. Her car was totaled. Her car flew off an embankment of 30-40 ft. She was taken to the Trauma Room at Eden Hospital, in Castro Valley. We took her off life support two days ago. She is now in good hands. May God bless her!
She was a kind person, a great person, a great friend, and a wonderful mother. She was smart, witty, and well rounded. She has so much loves for everyone from her families to a homeless man on the street. She was always caring and always wanted to make a difference in the world. The world's less of a great place now because the loss of her.
Sigh *I have to add this in...Many of her friends and families nicknamed her "Trouble" because she was a TROUBLEMAKER, but she means no harm. Those who knew her knew her well. Like everyone else, she was just out to have fun and enjoy her life. Now her life was cut short.
I am very saddened for her loss and ask everyone to pray for her families and friends.

Damn! Sorry to hear, man. That's a shame. I'll throw one up for her tonight.
EDIT: I just realized who she is. She's the one who came on here lookin' for someone to hook her up with free labor an' all. God bless her soul!!

after all the bullshit Cali-tulip has brought to A-CL, it's hard to believe this thread. Sorry but it is....I'm not buying it.

i don't mean to seem insensitive...
but i was on another forum and someone did this same exact thing once...
they made a name, pissed people off, and made another name and pretended to be another person, and then made another name and said that the original person had passed away...
it was all a big joke to the person to fvck with people on the board.
if this is completely false in this situation... sorry and RIP

Sucks. I'd call the hospital myself to verify but I don't wanna look like the dick if it's true. I've been watching the news religiously and haven't heard anything of an accident in that area???? Oh well...rip.

I guess we will have to wait for those pics he said he would scan. But if this is a joke its really not something to play with. Telling people that someone has passed away is not my idea of playing around. But if its not a joke im very sorry for you loss.

At first, I thought - what a horrible story! Then, after the counter-arguments came up, and reading some of the threads which she posted in and started, I have my doubts too.
I read through about 8 pages of the begging for help one (desparate need of attention), and she never once mentioned the name of the "Cafe" - it was all very vague information. Does she ever mention the real name or any substantial info?
But in any case, RIP if real.

and another thing, why would she (we never got her name) only have this photo to show in her album, are we being scamed or what here? Sorry to have doubts on this, but things dont add up

Even if it's not a hoax, it'd be sad but people die every day and it doesn't make sense to get all broken up about someone just because she had a few stupid posts on this board. It wasn't like anyone here even knew her or became friends etc. It's the same as opening up the obituaries in the newspaper and getting sad for everyone there... Right now i'm reserving my sympathies for the men and women who are dying for our country in Iraq.
