when i rev it up to around 2000 rpm i hear the ringing sound of resonance and then let off the gas i hear it coming down from 2000 for a brief moment.what should i do?

 

Did you get headers? If so, did you used the new gasket?

If all of the above is true, then remove the gasket, and put your stock one back on.

 

I have OBX headers and get the resonance around 2500rpm. I used the gaskets that came with the headers. I have heard from someone on this forum that the stock ones won't give the same resonance but I don't know if there has been anyone that has had resonance, then changed gaskets, and then lost it. Before I spend the $$ to switch the gaskets over I want to hear a few people who have solved the problem that way. KnowhatImean?

CLS2001_97124...is that what you did?

 

Eventhough I don't have Obx, but I used the stock gaskets from my CT header, and it has no problems.. I didn't want to rub it in like most here about the fact that I have CT, so I was not clear about it.

I responded to this thread based on the readings I've done in the past. Not really a personal experience.. Sorry.

 

I have some mooing at 3,000 and occasionally at 2,000...with the OB, err, Stone Racing Headers. Disappointing, but it's not constant, so I can't bitch too much...yet!
