request for service bulletin
Can someone obtain and post a service bulletin for me? I took my CLS in today because the SRS light was on. They hooked it up to the computer and determined that nothing was wrong with the sensors or anything else. Then, they asked me if I place a cell phone or computer on the seat. According to their service bulletin, electrical interference from these items could cause the light to come on even if nothing is wrong??????
Here it is from the invoice: notified cust of possible electrical interference-cleared / retrieved codes per bulletin 02-015 / 723507 032 B03
I kinda feel like I've just been told that the horn fluid is low or the muffler bearings are going out...

Suzuka Master
Honda doesn't "share" like the other kids...
However, I did find this and I've read about cell-phones messing-up the airbag sensors...

(hmmm... you will have to re-enter the data to look at it yourself)
Search for records on
Year: 2001
Make: ACURA
Model: 3.2CL
Component: INTERIOR SYSTEMS PASSIVE RESTRAINT AIR BAG

Select Vehicle, then 2001, then Acura, the 3.2CL, then INTERIOR SYSTEMS PASSIVE RESTRAINT AIR BAG...
See item #2 on Acura CL
"...SUBJECT REGARDING SRS DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE.*YD 8UC 15-3 SET BY ELECTRONIC INTERFERENCE. *YD SUBJECT REGARDING SRS DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE.*YD 8UC 15-3 SET BY ELECTRONIC INTERFERENCE. *YD..."
I believe you are referring to the SRS light staying on and are not talking about the light (temporarily going on) when small folks and/or packages are sitting on the front passenger seat...

Yes, the SRS light was staying on but even when no one was in the passenger seat...could be my purse. I carry too much stuff around...
Thanks for checking on this. The dealer reset the light and it has stayed off so far. I will also be putting my cell phone in the cup holder and purse on the floorboard I guess. Actually I rarely use the cell phone while driving so it will likely be on the floor too.
Sorry it was a long day at work and now I'm rambling.
Thanks again!!
