Replacement Hood??

Anyone know of the availability of replacement hoods for the CL-S? Mine needs to be replaced and I was wondering whether I should get a lighter (aluminum) one. Any suggestions?

There was suppose to be a Carbon Fiber one made by VIS, sometime last month was the expected release date as to what i can remember. But, like everything else for our cars, just expect it to never come out, so you don't get your hopes up. I'm still waiting on a brake kit that was supposed to come out last month. Don't forget the supercharger and the icebox, if we're lucky, they will be released in 3 months.

i thought they said it's already done, i've called them up and they didn't mention anything about it not being completed but they did give a price on it. in fact i've seen some cl's with it.

yet is the key word, i've been wanting to get it for some time, except they kept quoting me a price of 650, but today they said 450, so i'm really considering getting it now.

i haven't even lowered my car yet, so i don't know if it's a good idea to get the carbon fiber hood if my car's not lowered yet, but that's not far around teh corner either, maybe a month or so. do you guys think it would look funny if it's not lowered but has the hood?

How much weight does the carbon fiber hood save?
Did you notice better handeling with the lighter front end?
