Renting an Escalade for a weekend.....
Coming up in April, circumstances require me to rent a car (this is for prom, just to get it out of the way). I'd like to have the ability to carry most of my friends, since I like being able to drive and be in control of what happens.
Using the site Driven Image which was provided to me through A-CL, I've decided to rent an Escalade, with seating capacity for up to 7/8 people. I was hell bent on the ESV since I thought larger would equal better until I read that the only difference in passenger room was about .5 or less of an inch, the rest was for cargo. So I figure I'll save $100 and get the standard version. So, $249 for two days (minimum rental period) and 15% off, will equal about $425, which I will be paying half of. Does this seem like a good deal? Also, the lack of a physical showroom location bothers me a bit, does this seem suspicious?
Thanks for any help, I know it's stupid to rent a car, even my date says it's too much money, but I want to dammit!

get everyone to throw down and get a stretch escalade
ill post pics from my senior prom...the limo is friggin huge! we had a party in it while driving along the coast! so much better than having to worry about driving and parking and such
itll work out to be cheaper than a normal escalade and itll be that much easier if everyone chips in

^ I agree. Why rent a car? Go with the standard procedure and get a limo. Doesn't have to be something that crazy like an Escalade or a Benz. Just get a standard issue strecth Lincoln and have everyone split the cost. It will be cheaper for you, and everyone involved will have a great time.

dang i feel poor all the sudden. both my junior and senior prom i took my daily driver.(my 94 Accord) I think my junior year it was up around 125,000 miles and my senior year it was over 150,000 miles.
I wasn't gonna shell out 300-500 bucks for a dang limo to drive me around when i already had a car.
I'm such a cheap ass that for my wedding I'll probably get one of the trucks from down at my fire station(WHICH I GET TO USE FOR FREE BECAUSE I'M A FIREFIGHTER
) and they'll let me use an engine for a couple hours.
if not i'm hitting up the old trusty Accord AGAIN

The only limo I'd ever rent would be a strech Navigator. Everyone gets those damn Town Cars, and I'd like to be unique.
And NO that's not my date pictured above!

He’s probably not adding you as a legal extra driver if you can’t even get the rental yourself.
If you wreck it, HE just bought it.

You dont have to be 25 in certain states as lon gas you have an insurance policy under your own name, if not some rental places will charge you an extra 50$ since your not 21.
