Looking to pop off the chrome window trim so I can Plastidip it. I know I can spray it while it's on the car but think it'll be better if I can remove it to spray.

Can the trim be removed and reinstalled? Searched and found nothing on the actual removal, just a bunch of people talking about taping it.

 

I assume you can take it off. It should be fitted in there with clips and screws. You will probably need to roll down the river and take off the trim from the inside of the river. That's how it was on my wives Civic.

 

I plastidipped my trim and all i did was used painter's tape to cover the edges and then long strips of newspaper to cover some of the body and that worked pretty well. If it gets on the paint you can rub it out and then was the smudge mark away

 

Just tape off.

I actually had my vinyl dude put some satin black on it, looks just like the pic above - perfect!

 

You can remove some of it, but you risk the chance of bending it and breaking clips. Trim around quarter windows is not removable I believe.

I would just do it on the vehicle.
