The E55 had BFG G-Force drag racing radials (pause the tape at 1:08 if you don't believe me). That's why he launched so much harder. Even a Z07 'Vette couldn't beat the AMG out of the hole if it didn't have drag racing tires.

the CL65 AMG is fawking insane! 700ft/lbs of torque stock, and perfectly flat from 2,000-4,000rpms! NUTZ! 
the engine actually put out 900+ ft/lbs at first, but then the engineers detunned the engine to preserve the 5 speed auto! its a pimp car, but at a price of $177,000 they could have at least dropped in a 6speed auto instead of the 5 speed.

The E55 stock dyno'd at 425rwhp 450rwtq. That means the car is very underrated.... Its more like 530HP 550TQ with a 80% Drivetrain loss since its an Auto. I think the 03 Cobra was catching up fast... If they went to the end of 4th gear the 03 cobra would have passed the E55. From a Roll it would be game over for the E55 before it even starts.

cool video, it looked in the second race that they basically finished together, the benz had a slight lead, but that is nothing to be embarrassed about, they both were flying. I wouldn't say the benz owned him, was a good race, both cars could basically take 99% of the cars out on the road at any time. The benz costs a lot more, but has a style that the ford just can't compete with, if you got the loot for that AMG, good for you.

Also, if you notice the gap between the two cars in the other video, it's likely that the Stang let off on after seeing the Benz beat him. I also don't think the Stang would have anything on the E55 from a roll either. and yes i was defending the stang but that dont mean i like it more than the benz, i'd take the 55 anyday
