we have to find someone to make us the kit before we can even talk about price.

Def not this year, but in january 2005, I will be taking preorders and starting production. Not exactly the SEMA kit, but I'll make sure it is something i would rock on my car. Gonna be something kinda like this, but prolly more down to earth.

ron,

if you have any plans for new rim designs... i would love a nice thick 5 spoke... with a reasonable lip... i loves the 5 spokes.... your current rims are off the hook as well...

Forged one piece slightly deep dish (offset withstanding) Multiple spoke finishes liek black face, polished, hyper Silver all with a High polished lip. Gonna be lightweigh and 17"-20" diameters, all with 50 offset for the CL, TSX, Accord etc...

And the kits will be full bumper replacements and side skirts will prolly be same as versus since those are as good as it gets in my opinion. Made from AVS plastic or poly eurethane, but def not fibre anything. Pure-quality and a clean OEM looking style are the motives.

Rondog...good job.. i didn't see it anywhere above and not sure if mentioned
on that old thread but.... what are you looking at for $$$...i know you need to
try and plan for an ROI and approx # needed to be sold etc.... didn't you say
your investment was close to $100K?? How is this end of the business unfolding??

I have no idea, but i can assure you it will be competitively priced, I tend to take projects like these one step at a time while keeping a general idea in mind the whole way through, its hard to have such an acurate form of things because there will always be changes or adjustments along the way. I will make this kit the best I can. the production will depend on one thing tho, pre-orders. I will not be able to go into this as confidently as say the 2004 TL, due to the limited models out there. So pre-orders will be the way to go letting me focus on making the kit with no hesitance. I will make an official anouncement when i get back from SEMA this year in november.

Guessing Game

Ron...

That's the scary part of this project...The fun thing about owning a CL
is the limited # out there... also the down side to a project like yours...
I am sorry if this redundant, and, might have already been mentioned
but..any approach to larger MFG that mght have some interest in
picking up your line? (Molley does the Toyota line...)

Bringing this semi old thread back because I know SEMA is happening this week. I was hoping we could get some updates on the wheels or body kit. Definitely looking forward to final designs and pics.

Have faith

And hes pretty busy this week with getting ready for SEMA, so he probably won't be around, but we'll see what he says when he gets back from SEMA. Hopefully he can find someone that would be willing to manafacture the kit there.

Actually, If I recall correctly, Rondog said he was going to do the TL first, then do the CL.

I could've sworn he said he was doing it for the 04TL, not the TLS .. and he did have plans for a CLS kit, whether or not he plans on really doing it is another story.

the TLS already has a good oem kit, why should they get another good kit

I don't think the design is final yet. It was my understanding from various threads that ron posted in that his concern is first around the logistics of getting a quality kit made for the CL (money, partners, time, materials, etc.). Then he would decide on a design. While that kit is pretty tight, I think it could use a little more tweaking once this thing becomes more of a reality.

Ron's got a good head on his shoulders, and with the input from our board members, whatever the final product comes out to be, it's gonna be butta.

Now that I've had the car for 4+ years, I don't want to put a bodykit on it any more. In fact, I don't want to put any more mods on it period. I'll just do the maintenance thang, enjoy my car till I can't stand it any more (2 more years??), ditch it and get something else, preferrably w/ AWD.

Not even if it's a full bumper replacement? instead of a lip kit. That's probably the only reason I'd do is because ron is all about the full bumper replacement kit.

If it is a full bumper replacement, Id do it - I have some pretty bad scratches on my front bumper and the kit would kind of make up for itself in cost anyway

same - my bumper(s) is fuct up badly. A stylish and classy full bumper replacement kit would be a no brainer purchase for me.
